Yeah what i meant was the fact that said Brazilian superstar wants to play for madrid , would then in turn not be able to represent brazil at next fifa International match etc…the financial impacts on clubs from regions like south America would be too big for them imo
Infantino is making Blatter look like a choir boy in comparison.
We would have been called a madman years ago if someone suggested we kept blatter on for the good of the sport ![]()
The process involved here by Infantino does great disservice to what are some interesting proposals, and exposes this to be, at its core, a blatant attempt at self dealing and enrichment.
He will very likely get unanimous support from CAF.
Its clear that on the balance, UEFA will need to go beyond merely issuing statements.
For me it just needs the UEFA nations as they are the big ones and any World cup with those nations would be meaningless from an investment point if view.
Should lead to the formation of a breakaway ‘FIFA’
In all fairness, Blatter was a harmless choir boy in comparison to this malevolent twat.
Basically ever since Havelange theyve just ramped up the bellend factor.
While some people in some organisations are having a collective wank over the money,a couple of issues come to mind.
1.At the end of the day who pays for it? Idiots like us who go to the games, while we can afford to!
2.some will make a lot of money for a while, but the money will dry up,pretty quickly, then what happens to our game?
Might come back to playing for the shirt, shock, horror, the end is nigh.
And this is all off the backs of players, without whom these thieves would have no money pool.
Well they need to pay for their bribes somehow.
UEFA tells FIFA to do one:

Exceptionally strong stance and statement by UEFA in opposition to Gianni Infantino’s proposal.
Calling out that “it is not a ‘democratic decision’, but governance by intimidation - an act of coercion” and would mean “every decision shaping the future of football is no longer driven by what best serves the game, but by what best serves shareholders.”
Wrapped up beautifully by this mic drop:
“UEFA national teams will not participate in any FIFA competition for so long as these proposals remain alive, unless this proposal has been abandoned in its entirety and binding assurances have been given that FIFA will never again open its governance or competitions to private ownership.
“Nobody should be in any doubt: UEFA and its national associations will oppose these plans with absolute determination.
“There are moments when institutions are judged not by what they are prepared to accept, but by what they refuse to compromise. This is one of those moments.
Some things are simply too important to sell. The FIFA World Cup belongs to football. It always will.”
