At what cost? Look at the spate of injuries through the PL this season. Chelsea and city may be PL outliers because they have big squads but I can guarantee that their performances will be substandard compared to what they aspire to next season. And, along with the World Cup next summer their internationals will have had no break at all. For two years. It’s madness.

Looks like Chelsea got lucky finishing in 2nd. Will walk through to the semis now having to play Benfica then one of the Brazilians. Hope I’m wrong.
Had they finished first was Bayern then PSG.
For what it’s worth I’m quite enjoying the matches where the South Americans are involved. Players and fans look up for it.

I hope city and chelsea get as close as possible to the end without winning. No idea how any club is supposed to recover from this in time for the new pl season, considering the players will need a 2 week vacation before they report back for pre season.
