I watched the Ivory Coast vs Scotland game at the Hill Dickinson a couple of months ago, and they looked a pretty decent side. Germany will be a tougher opposition, of course.

It’s one thing I love about the summer tournaments, watching teams I don’t normally watch. I saw their warmup game against France, and was quite impressed, thought they looked like a team to look out for. And their game against Equador backed it up.

From a ‘big team’ POV it doesn’t get much better than Germany’s group to prepare for the k.o. stage. The order of the three opponents (from easy Curaçao to pretty difficult Ecuador) should help growing together as a team.

There are limits to my Good Will. If they played a dictatorship or the USA, then I would cautiously cheer for them though
