The Kiwis put too much in the 1st half and have nothing left to arrest the momentum shift after Egypt drew the match, even after the hydration break.

While I officially hate the commercial breaks (they are not water breaks in reality, even if used as such), the time outs were used brilliantly by Ståle Solbakken in our game against Iraq. We were very poor in midfield, but ståle organised them after every commerical break and we hit them hard every single time.
But yeah, it is a very ill disguised US commerical break for US telly.

They did mention he was very quiet in the 1st half, but he was the difference maker for Egypt.

I think the managers have worked them really well. My major concern was the halves would die out and we would get quite a lot of drab periods which was often the case during Covid and has been in the games in the PL in the hot August months, however we’ve seen momentum shift more often than not.
They are advert breaks though and I call them that, not going give them their naff official title.

A part of me thinks that the heroes should have been dead for at least a few years, before others take their names in homage to them. But another part of me thinks it a bit cute in an innocent way.
Ridiculous, when i went to sleep last night, I thought it was written in the stars that Saudi would win 4-3 but they ended up losing 4-0. Its a conspiracy to make me lose my $50. Fifa is controlling the results.
