But I have changed channel and no longer care about watching the end of that game. Since you know, build up to The Game.

A severe thunderstorm delays the France-Iraq match. There must be no further lightning strikes detected within the eight-mile radius for a full 30 minutes before play is permitted to resume. If there is another strike, the clock resets to 30 minutes.

Well, with all that rain, there should be plenty of water and no further need for hydration break.

I’ve had many games coaching kids football where this has happened. It’s fine if a storm is blowing through as it’s a clear 30 min delay. If it lingers, I’ve had a few clock resets until eventually the whole thing was called off.
Obviously this is a different scale with all those fans. I think they will get it done and it will be a test of patience.

TSN just mentioned the match will (or was it should) resume in about 20 minutes.
Have to find out which channel is showing which match.

In these parts Fox will show the France game and FS1 is showing the Norway v Senegal game. I might split screen it, or move toward the latter, which I expect will be a very good game.

We have CTV and 4 TSN channels (the 5th TSN is showing baseball), so they could put it on one of the 5 channels. I have not heard any announcement yet.
