The worrying thing is, more people than the entire population of the UK voted for Trump.
It’s like a typical Walking Dead scene.

They take the term “flag shaggers” literally. Without a hint of irony.

Yesterday was the 38th anniversary of Piper Alpha.
A disaster not in a small part caused by the brainless gung ho mentality of the American management and line supervisory team.
No surprise things started getting better once we started shipping them back across the pond

Yeah, I allowed myself to get drawn in, at least in part… not very proud about this…

Anyway, glad to see the US being dumped out after the latest corruption scandal. :+1:

Random people refusing to watch an event which is going to be on TV anyway, where they’re not making any kind of financial contribution to the cause they resent, doesn’t do anything but massage their own egos.
Enjoy what’s left of it.

Remember when supporters of many clubs were actively wanking over Pochettino.
Great coach my arse

Could it be argued that if Trump had not intervened, the US team would have gone into the match undistracted, and maybe even extra motivated by the perceived injustice of the red card, and would, probably, have put in a better performance?
They still would have lost, but at least honourably.

One random guy doesn’t make a difference of course. Millions of random people though? But yeah, I decided in the end that I wouldn’t let the fat orange cunt spoil it for me.

That being said, I managed to avoid Qatar entirely in 2022, and don’t regret it at all. I had a lot of spare time for other things during that summer. :joy:

Made motivating the Belgium players easy I guess.

I didn’t watch a single game of the Qatar WC. Watched a few this time.

Can’t say I’ve seen a belter of a game. Some ok ones and some good moments but nothing that makes me think I’ve watched something special.

Yeah, same for me. It’s quite unspectacular so far.

Free to watch in the UK, as it probably is in many countries.
For those watching on subscription channels, chances are they were already subscribed to the network showing the games.
So, what difference would there be if 100 million random people chose not to watch?
I say none.

But if it lets someone puff out their chest and feel good about themselves, they should knock themselves out

Advertisement. They are very sensible to the number of people watching. If you have 100 million random people less than usual watching them, they’ll notice it and ask questions.
