The foul prior to the disallowed goal was similar to the foul on Salah in the penalrty area. No review on that? Also Macca,pulled down and Egypt forward in the area in a seperate incident.
Why wasnât the ref sent to the screen to review?
He isnt a bad loser, but he is an honest realist. This is corrupt, France snd Argentina will play in the final. Messi vs Mbappe.

Iâve seen a similar incident in the Bundesliga where there is a foul in the penalty area that leads to a goal at the other end. It was pulled back by VAR and a penalty awarded instead.
The thing is, the Egyptian goal that was pulled back was several phases back and couldnât have been sent to VAR as it was neither a possible red card or penalty offence. Thatâs your difference.

Really?
Firstly France are the best side so no conspiracy to make the final. But they have to beat Spain.
And Argentina were top 2 or 3 in the pre tournament betting - no great surprise as titleholders if they make it again. However I donât see them making it past England or Norway.
Either way corruption will not dictate the finalists.
If it is all fixed why would they not want CR7 v Messi final as the ultimate romance. Or Norway as a great storyâŚ..etc

Iâve said from the start of this world cup that multiple little decisions by refs seemed to favour the bigger teams more often than not.Itâs always probably been the way but looks more prevelant this year.Multiple little decisions going your way does give your team an overall advantage,itâs not enough to be able to point to as biased but definetely enough to feel aggrieved when you finish on the losing side.

Everyone has a view thatâs fine.
No doubt we will all debate the overall view of the WC at the conclusion but to get a head start - this WC has been much better than I thought.
Leaving the room now - Australiaâs biggest sporting event is about to kick off - State of Origin Rugby League. Itâs the real deal and no fucking corruption match fixing or tippy tappy in this sport.

Fifa is corrupted no doubt. Bad referee decisions, shocking ones even, are not new. But this does not mean the world cup is necessarily skewed specifically to Argentina. I feel sorry for Egypt but to call it anything other than an unfortunate loss is anything but being sore. Or else every losing party would be calling it corruption against them.

The decisions that favoured Argentina are more than by chance? No one can explain why VAR went the lenght of the pitch to disallow the second Egypt goal. Its not normal to review a foul that far back in play? @Limiescouse is way better at VAR explanations than I will ever be, he might cast light on it.
Plus, why wasnât ref sent to monitor on Salah penalty claim?
Its only opinion, obviously, but I think Argentina were helped last night. Messi playing in the US, the brand etc

If every team was cheated as much as Egypt were, they would complain.
Losing is ok, its part of competition. Losing like that is devastating.
