Empty seats , more empty seats , that’s what I wanna see. (Not that I’m watching any of this shite anyway.)
I wonder if Neymar staying “late” like that is why he is so well thought of in Brazil. I think his career has been a massive disappointment compared to the hype he still gets to this day but in Brazil they absolutely love him. I’m guessing the fact he stayed a bit longer makes him feel more lile he is “theirs” then the other national team players.
I think that is a huge part of it, cemented by coming back to finish his career at Santos. He also avoided most of the taint of that 7-1 humiliation, with many Brazil fans insisting it would have been completely different if Neymar was able to play. There is a real national mythology around him, but in a very real way I think he is quite emblematic of the real problems around the Brazilian game now that make them far less likely to go deep in the World Cup than a generation ago.
Phoar look at all that Canadian brick and concrete…
With Davies out and Larin on the bench, Im pretty sure David is the only Canadian player I know.

Well, I don’t really want to derail this thread.
Weird stadium design on the right side as I’m viewing it. Kind of unfinished roof on it.
It’s a temporary extension for the World Cup.
One thing that should not are empty stadium is the World Cup.
Well done FIFA and the money grabbing bastards
Normally only 27k or so, they added about 20k temporary stands
Ah temporary infrastructure. I seriously need details now. I want to be sure it is braced sufficiently.
