Wank fest of Mbappe means I’ll put Public Service Broadcasting on instead of the commentary (it’s a band).

Its a shame that the electric Mbappe at Monaco has turned into a player I just get absolutely no enjoyment from watching.

All one-way traffic :man_facepalming:

yeah Mbappe is really tough to try and enjoy… maybe a bit of tall poppy syndrome on my behalf…but…

I love Mbappe and hope he has a great world cup

Really strange minutes or two of football there… No one could pass the ball to the teammates. White kit to blue kit and vice versa.

Unlucky Jacko, quality play.

That was not very good goal keeping.

France lucky to not be one down.
Hope Senegal do them over convincingly

Calling it now. England are winning this world cup, it’s coming home lads…

gone are the days when african countries were vastly inferior to their western opposition. All the games i have watched with the big african teams (morocco, Egypt, ivory coast) so far , the teams have been aggressive and at times even outplayed the opposition

I’m not sure I can pick out exactly what I don’t like. I’m not a fan of players who avoid tracking back but many top players don’t bother with that… I think there’s a sense to Mbappe that he’s very artificial. Like he’s not a footballer but instead the result of too many market research meetings and corporate interests idea of what a footballer is.

I made a comment a few days ago about the negative influence of European football on Brazilian football. Its been the exact opposite for african football. that exposure to European football has only increased the quality of the african footballer
