It does seem some folks who used to post a lot on TIA hit the ground running on TAN but then faded away or flamed out altogether. Some churn is normal, but without the news site to attract potential new members, some refreshing as @ISMF gets things upgraded may be in order. Maybe we need a committee of high functioning social media mavens to spread the word. That wouldnât be me, as this is the only social media I actually do.

Speaking personally as one of the members whose participation dropped off in the last weeks, Iâd say the main reason interest has waned is due to gaining little solace here for the pain of this season; and thatâs not aimed at my fellow members incidentally.
The biggest âmurderâ of mavens in the world (even high functioning) is no substitute for our team getting the ball in the back of the net on a more regular basis.

Itâs way worse than that. I think we have 50+ posters during matchdays or big events like ESL. Other than that, there are 25-30 posters who are regular.
Thatâs typically the number of concurrent users online posting.
Some posters are online the entire match, some only for events (goals, fouls etc) some only at half time or post match.
About 130 people or so contribute on match days recently, about 100 a day on normal days.

I am fine, just extremely busy. I took an interim management position in February to cover a crisis plus covid absence situation. I also stopped watching football in December, it was just too frustrating. Worse, I was finding that I was getting little enjoyment from wins but was down about losses and draws -and with the family in lockdown, it was not fair for me to let my mood be affected like that.
For me, this is really a non-season

Not related to missing particular posters, but I wanted to take a moment to say Iâm always struck by how gentlemanly @Zoran is. We all can be a bit jagged at this moment of our nightmare season, and some discussions can boil over much quicker than before. Despite all that, even when dissenting, semi-heated opinions come at him, he is always a proper gentleman in reply and expresses himself well.

Iâm around, hovering about in the background like the ghost at the feast. I still pop in every few days and browse a few threads, but honestly Iâve found football this season - and in particular since the turn of the year - so depressing Iâve no appetite for talking about it.
Our involvement in the ESL was the crowning turd on the whole shit sandwich, and, after years of defending the owners over various issues, Iâm left thoroughly disillusioned as to where we are at a club right now. Perhaps even more so than when Hodgson was manager and we were near bankruptcy.
I truly canât wait for this season to be over, and perhaps a summer to reflect and find some distance will help me rediscover my enthusiasm for it. I hope so.
