Floooowwwwwā¦
Like a Wirtz!!
Heās so fucking good, man. And weāve only seen glimpses of it so far. Heās going to be a worldbeater for us.
My one major concern with Wirtz is that someone is going to just clobber him⦠his style of play lends to a thug just ploughing through himā¦
That will inevitably happen, and more than once. Hopefully the lad is robust enough to take these assaults and still escape unharmed. Hopefully heās more the Salah type than the Kewell type, fingers crossed!
There was one turn as he received the ball, not shown here, where 2 players were converging on him and he feigned one way and turned the other, selling both players and me watching from the other end of the World, very much like Grav, but his feint just was next level.
What the fuck is that American AI voiceā¦
Flo knows his team mates. Heās clearly a good lad
I struggled on Frimpong, I hadnāt a clue he had been at Celtic.
He doesnāt look much older than the kids :0)
I think Iād sell him already apparently he is a luxury.
Wirtz Interview
Did you decide to move abroad because it was more challenging and more attractive for your personal development than a move to FC Bayern?
Florian Wirtz: āIāve spent my entire life in the Kƶln region, with my parents and my inner circle. Therefore, itās a more difficult step to leave that whole environment and move to another country with all the changes. And to a new league with a different style of play. Therefore, I would definitely say itās a bigger challenge, one I consciously chose to overcome and become a better player.ā
⢠Publicly, itās said that the coaching talks with Arne Slot and Vincent Kompany were decisive. How did Slot convince you?
Wirtz: āThe discussions with Arne were very, very good from the very beginning. He won me over from the very first meeting. He gave me clear ideas and a clear vision of how he could and wanted to use me in his team. This, combined with the structure of the team, really convinced me. He saw me In the number 10 positionāwhere I play best. I was brought in for that position because they trusted me to make the team better. And Iām trying to live up to that as best as I canā
⢠Would that have been different with Jamal Musiala at Bayern?
Wirtz: āYou canāt tell. I donāt know exactly how things would have turned out.ā
⢠Was the decision between Liverpool and Bayern the most difficult of your life so far?
Wirtz: āI always felt I could do what I wanted to do. And thatās why I didnāt put any pressure on myself to make a quick decision. Iād already thought about both clubs very intensively, and in the end, it wasnāt an easy decision. But I made it with 100% conviction, and Iām happy about it.ā
@kicker
Why do the questions come across like it personally hurt the interviewer and the nation of Germany not to move to Bayern?
It seems so salty that I feel they think the Stasi did less harm.
