Look at Ekitikè as well. Looks to me like those 3 should make a good trio of good attacking football. From deep midfield to attack.

And that’s not even Wirtz’s best level yet.
And as for Jones, yeah, interesting for a player who apparently holds onto the ball too long, etc.
Sometimes it’s on immediately, sometimes you first gotta attract some pressure and delay, before being able to pass forward that well and often.
You guys are overthinking things. The last two games have been some of our most fluent performances all season and both have come without Jones in the starting lineup.

Perhaps we should have bought Gordon instead of Isak and then bench Gakpo. I mean, a proper left-winger who can also play at all attacking positions including CF would have solved multiple problems that have been troubling us for months.

I see nothing especially different in Gordon compared to some other players who needed to tone down their aggression a little bit. If it was that problematic, he wouldn’t be where he is and an international player. But such players at rival clubs can be hated. Here they could be easily loved or admired. Though it can also depend who. I’m pretty sure Gordon would, for example if he had signed for us in 2024.

Yeah, it does look like much of what he does is driven by what his coach is asking him to do.
Especially when we talk this season about Liverpool’s forwards lacking aggression to press/defend with intensity high up and consistently…

Florian Wirtz have lot of sibblings. His parents are very old.

Well, his parents had both been married before and each brought four children into the marriage. Then they had Florian and Juliane together. So, in a way, the other eight are only half-siblings.
