How was the performance of Florian Wirtz in the match at FA Cup against Brighton & Hove Albion?
Alright but quiet. Didnāt really influence the game as he can. In moments in that first half I forgot he was on the pitch. Though he also had a different midfield behind him.
Slot did something interesting yesterday with Jones at RB, but then by resting Gravenberch, we had Szobo as the RCM pivot (but pressing forward basically in line with Flo) and Mac staying as the deepest at LCM.
I didnāt like that combination too much, we didnāt have enough control and possession. Feared Mac could end up being isolated, but to be fair Brighton didnāt really capitalize on the spaces we left.
It meant Flo had to drop more than in previous games, I was looking at our average positions at HT as I always do and he was pretty deep.

hes wonderful to watch, even when hes having a quiet gameā¦
a while back i said ( in not as many words) he needed to start to trouble the statsmanā¦which he is now regularily doing, so the od game where he doesnt, hes still pulling people all over the joint and leaving them in tattersā¦
its a very special player that when you watch a game, everyone else on the ball seems a bitā¦bland/boringā¦ not many players have thatā¦
like watch Ronaldinho, or Henry back in the dayā¦ it was 21 players running around and you just wanted to see what Ronnie did when he got the ballā¦everything else was just annoyingā¦
bare in mind im not suggesting hes hit peak Henry/Ronaldinho levels
