Seems more of a Bayern transfer tbh, but Leverkusen like most other German clubs, probably want to avoid strengthening Bayern further yet again hence the touting him to English clubs.
The ornstein link is a positive, plus we were willing to go over 100 for Caicedo so we know the club will spend the money if they believe the player they’re bidding for us worth it. That said I don’t see it happening, but would be a cracking signing

I wonder what the thinking is in terms of where he fits in should we pull this off. A false 9 or is he potentially seen as an upgrade on Dom as the most advanced midfielder?
Tbf Slot feeling more comfortable resting/rotating McAllister and Szoboszlai would be a great benefit. Two of McAllister/Szob/Wirtz playing with one rested each game would keep them fresh for the whole season and avoid the late drop off that we’ve had in the past couple of years as they get knackered
