I don’t know iff Leverkusen refused to sell to Bayern or Wirtz just didn’t want to be another German making the move to Bayern. Either way it’s great news for us. We have another 2months to get this done. There is no immediate rush, but I would imagine this will be completed after Germany’s nations league commitments.
Hope it’s announced before the 27th though as I’m in Germany for a cultural beer tasting long weekend. I would like to sport my new shirt.
Switching to Adidas I’m sure it’s a great coup for Adidas advertising also.

Yeah, and it was still May or it’s still only June…
Whether it’s announced today or in a week, two or so, it has zero impact on pre-season.
World operates on panic mode, you get even some people who are meh, 50-50 or against this transfer in a “announce it already!” mode.
The club has spoiled us.
