:joy:

German side confirmed it, English drama side insists it’s not done yet, hilarious

They are now making themselves look really ridiculous.

The Oracle of all knowledge not getting his maths not right. Year 1- 25/26 , 2- 26/27, 3- 27/28, 4- 28/29, 5 - 29/30.

Next you’ll tell me that isn’t a real quote from those Pawn star guys

Why would the Leverkusen sources lie? I don’t think so. Haven’t you read the emails yet? Found errors in the fine print? This already seems very amateurish.

Amateurish from who? Don’t see a contradiction between agreeing in principle and not being done yet, but maybe I missed something.

"Liverpool made an improved second offer for the 22–year-old Germany playmaker last week worth around €134million (£113m), with about €118.7m (£100m) guaranteed.

This proposal was not rejected as such and talks continue in order to settle on a package that is acceptable to both sides, *but Liverpool have no intention to bid as high as the reported €150m (£126.4m) asking price for the attacking midfielder." @David_Ornstein

Strange. Romano said Liverpool received Bayer’s agreement by email. :joy:

“The discussions — led by Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes and Leverkusen managing director of sport Simon Rolfes — are now mainly focused on the structure and specifically payment terms, plus the nature of any add-ons.”@David_Ornstein

If that is true and is indeed the focus, then it is safe to assume a fee has been agreed.

Yes, I meant that in reference to the email. It was supposedly already sent from Leverkusen. Apparently, nothing has arrived in Liverpool yet, or something about it doesn’t suit them. Let’s assume that they’re no longer working there at this time? It certainly sounds amateurish to me to deny what others have already announced. But maybe it’s for other reasons, too.

Sorry, again maybe I missed something, but this reference to this email comes from who, Romano? What have Leverkusen announced?

Romano said in the video shared a few posts back that Bayer accepted Liverpool’s offer by email.

Yeah it seems that’s a likely scenario. Bayer get their 150m Euros in name only to parade around, with what’s above 140m being bonuses related to very unrealistic addons like Ballon D’or, us winning the quadruple. All speculation of course but knowing our club being a bit stingy during negotiations (which is a good thing), its a likelihood given the fee we are talking about here.

I would be happy for the club to pay those bonuses if both those scenarios came true tbf.

He describes the process in great detail in the video. But okay, maybe he, Bild, Sky and Kicker just made it all up.

I know its a joke, but ffffuuuuuuccckk. This is one player I am hoping he settles in really well and signs at least a couple of extensions just because of the cost. As we know, running down contracts is becoming the new norm.
