If you were in the trenches waiting for the signal whistle to climb over the top… one would hope they had a Jordan Henderson type personality next to them… Really difficult to put a price or value on having that type of grit and determination alongside in a battle

Or we can say that an element of luck is absolutely everywhere, but Hendo bloody worked hard to earn it and not only that - he was always good enough, it only came into question once (Rodgers did question it, but people make mistakes). And you don’t have to be Gerrard or Zidane to be that.

being honest, I think we miss Milly just as much as we miss Henderson… Milner was a fucking beast out there.

Mohamed Salah has selflessly revealed that he wants Jordan Henderson to get a belated #LFC send-off on the final day of this season, alongside himself and Andy Robertson.
“You know how passionate he is and how much he loved the club,” he told Steven Gerrard for TNT Sports.
“I really wish that the club can do something for him and the fans also, because this is Liverpool and we do it this way.”

Gerrard is a level on his own but Hendo always has a special place in my heart. From being almost sold to fighting his way back and becoming captain of the most successful Liverpool team in PL history. He will not win many MOTM but his attitude and work rate is 2nd to none. To me he is the epitome of the Liverpool spirit, if you stay humble and work hard, you can succeed even when the odds are against you.
