Former Captain: Jordan HENDERSON

My abiding memory of him has to be his running onto the field at the start of the 2hf in that epic UCL game at the Etihad…

Staring down Diego Costa.

I recall a lot of people mocking him for it at the time, calling him a fake tough guy. That felt very uncharitable to me even then, even before knowing what he would lead this club to and with what attitude.

I absolutely fucking loved that. Costa clearly shat himself.

I am so proud of our Hendo going out there taking over the captaincy and participating at least 1 World Cup match.

He doesn’t need that for football

Hendo last night

0 minutes played
1 yellow card
1 broken wrist

What a performance.

From what weve heard, hes been a positive influence on the team. Hope he can stay out there, but he wont be stood on the sidelines shouting encouragement now.

I’ve read that Alonso is urgently trying to bring in experienced leaders. After all, the entire squad consists of very, very young players.

But when is he going to play them all

Welbeck and Henderson. Why not get Milner out of retirement as well.

Ah Chelsea, the only club that could sign a bunch of pensioners and have to give them shirt numbers higher than their ages

What is actually wrong with that club. Why do they have about 603 players on their books at all times? The league need to step in and do something about this.
