He played for Liverpool well before my time, but for some reason he was the first Liverpool great that I came to know about. This has hit like a ton of bricks.

His short tenure as England manager was unfortunate and he was unlucky. The players would have loved him.
He was also trendsetter in fashion as well, it was the 1970s at the time.

True icon of the game and our club. One of my first ever heroes and a thoroughly decent human being. He had everything - the platforms, flares, perm and sideburns.

His playing days were before my time but his club management teams were always fun to watch.

Itâs very sad news but after the announcement in June not unexpected.
A fantastic player and certainly one of our all-time greats. His partnership with Toshack was amazing, almost telepathic. As @Rambler said, he wasnât the most naturally gifted of players but time and again his tenacity and burst of speed left defenders in his wake.
