I worshipped him when I was a kid. That FA cup final against Newcastle was a highlight of my childhood. Posters on the wall, Superstars, and seeing him live was a great experience, his energy was next level.

Without doubt my first footballing hero. Often overlooked when people talk about LFCās best ever players but he was right up there.
Scored vital goals in FA Cup finals, UEFA Cup finals and ran Berti Vogts ragged in Rome. His partnership with Toshack was telepathic.

I dont remember who it was against now, but the classic Toshak-Keegan goal was a back post knock down that was scored with a diving header. The absolute classic we spent uncountable hours trying to recreate in the park

Another classic against Coventry when KK backheaded a cross on for Toshack to head in. My mate still talks about that goal at every opportunity.

I seem to remember the original game was abandoned because of torrential rain, rearranged for the following night and fans were allowed entry to the ground for 10p!

Same. Probably the first player I could ever see on the field and know his name. I became a LFC fan in the seconds after Bremner went at him.

I always admired KK as someone who made the very most of his talent. He was not blessed with the silky skills of the very best but boy did he more than make up for it with sheer grit and determination. I was gutted when he left and like Trent he got some stick from the boo boys when he announced it..
RIP Kevā¦never be forgotten. Iām grateful for some memorable games and particularly those amazing european nights under the old floodlights.

Absolutely devastated 
. Kevin Keegan was our first football rockstar/superstar and legend. I was so sad when he moved to SV Hamburg. He was the first Liverpool legend who made the No:7 shirt so famous.
He was such a fantastic personality off the field. I loved watching his interviews.
May Kevin Keegan rest in peace and condolences to his family. Thank you for all the wonderful memories.

Loved the guy for the way he played the game, and for what he brought to that Liverpool side at the time. If memory serves, wasnāt he the first footballer to get his hair permedā¦ which was quickly followed by Phil Thompson doing the same :0)

Kevin Keegan was the only English player to win the Ballon dāOr twice when he played for Hamburg.
I am sure people at Hamburg and Bundesliga will be paying tributes to their āmighty mouseā Kevin Keegan.

Never got to see him play in a Liverpool shirt, in fact I struggle to remember if I ever did see him play at all. But I remember Foxsports launching in Australia and they ran a series of best of/highlight shows for them launching their coverage of the Premiership and the number and quality of goals him and Toshack scored that were in the highlight reels was absolutely phenominal. Could never work out how he only won the Ballon Dāor after moving away from English football.

I canāt believe he has gone. He was loved by everyone, you didnāt have to support the team he played for or managed in. He was just lovely, principled and kind man.
Every football mad youngster had pictures/posters of Kevin Keegan in their bedroom wall. He was a football hero to many kids.
