Where does Real get this ridiculous ability to pay these fees from?!

From the transfer fees they don’t have to pay.

i mind thinking at the time…

900k!

crazy money!

I listened to a non-English YT podcast (LFC supporters), it sounded like the event was organised by Korea (may be their football association or some marketing company), and the players were paid really well by the organiser. In that case, LFC Foundation would not want to be part of it.

Fair point. A 400k per week wage over five years amounts to roughly 100m. That’s insane of course, but not entirely out of touch if they see him as a first-team player for them.

At 200k per catastrophic lapse of concentration that gifts the opposition a goal I can understand why we wouldn’t agree to a new deal.

Ibou always came over as a great personality so wish him and his family well for the future, on to the next player who will eventually leave on a free

Yeah, it wouldn’t be crazy for him to be valued at around Ā£60m. instead of paying that to a club, they pay that to him instead. The remaining Ā£40m as a wage would be about Ā£150k a week. So doesn’t sound all that outlandish.

Real Madrid probably earn around twice the revenues our club does so should be able to pay substantially more than us on deals.

He probably gets an enormous signing on fee as well as bonuses. Nice.

The 400k a week probably includes the signing on fee.

On current form, I wouldn’t pay him Ā£400k a year.
