I hope that he will go on to have a top coaching career. Wonderfully talented football player, an amazing professional - and ultimately extremely unlucky with injuries. Still, he won it all with Liverpool and that’s what counts.

We have two famous 3-1 wins in the CL with both come backs driven by subs.
Against St Ettiene in 77 Fairclough scored the needed third about 10 mins after coming on for Toshak.
Against Olympiacos in 04-05 both Pongolle (scored a minute or so after coming an at half time) and Mellor (the perfect knock down for Gerrard on the third) came off the bench to make game defining contributions.
I’m glad they clarified the former Utd midlfielder, not the former Liverpool midfielder!
Danny Ward has a medical with Wrexham today and I’m guessing he doesnt join as first choice for them
I always thought he was a pretty decent keeper but obviously couldn’t quite make it work. Or my ability to judge goalkeepers is way off.
Wasn’t he the player caught leaking team line ups before we sold him?
He moved to Leicester from us and couldn’t replace Kasper Schmeichel. He moved after we signed Alisson, but the fact that he couldn’t replace any of our middling keepers before that should have indicated that he wasn’t going to replace a better keeper there.
I think he has actually played more games for Wales than he has for any club he was actually signed to.

I’ve seen some matches that Ward played well. But those were matches for Wales.
He was absolutely dire in Leicester. Liverpool did very well getting 12m for him.
