I hope that he will go on to have a top coaching career. Wonderfully talented football player, an amazing professional - and ultimately extremely unlucky with injuries. Still, he won it all with Liverpool and that’s what counts.

Not to mention: musician, rapper, TV producer, all round good guy and very much a renaissance man.
I think he is part of the reason that I enjoy wingers, seeing him accelerate down the right hand side and scoop the ball into the middle.

We have two famous 3-1 wins in the CL with both come backs driven by subs.
Against St Ettiene in 77 Fairclough scored the needed third about 10 mins after coming on for Toshak.
Against Olympiacos in 04-05 both Pongolle (scored a minute or so after coming an at half time) and Mellor (the perfect knock down for Gerrard on the third) came off the bench to make game defining contributions.
