Former players and managers - general discussion

So nice to see what Harry Wilson has become at Fulham. That pass for Iwobe’s goal was gorgeous.

Since we’re talking about it right now…

German lesson with Xabi and Thiago  and Sadio.

Edit

There are also videos of Harry Kane’s German lessons, but nobody needs to see/hear them, :joy: Although he’s not doing that badly at all, tbf

Millie gets the PL game record and the guardian writes this…

(James Milner and a record number of shifts keeping his heart rate above resting | Football | The Guardian)

“Frankly, after 23 seasons at six different clubs doing the bare minimum just to stay relevant, the most obvious conclusion to draw is that the universally admired and well-liked “Millie” is apparently not all he’s cracked up to be…it could be argued the only accolade Milner ought to crow about is his record number of more than 200 top-flight appearances off the bench”

OK.

i suppose thats one way to look at it…

Milner being economical and efficient with his effort?! Are the Guardian trying to say he’s actually German?

Perhaps they mistake his name as Muller?

It’s Barry Glendenning, he sees himself as a bit of a comedian.

Oh dear..not having a great time there is he?

With the game meandering toward 90 minutes, Alexander-Arnold was caught on the ball on the halfway line, and although Dani Ceballos won it back, he almost immediately gave it away again, leaving his teammates to try and chase back as Osasuna attacked.

Alexander-Arnold didn’t cover himself in glory as he sat off eventual goalscorer Raul Garcia, allowing him to run through, and the Osasuna forward easily evaded the former Liverpool star as he beat Thibaut Courtois to secure victory for the hosts.

Not gloating at all, but expected that at that shitshow club.

Yes, I suspect this was intended to be tongue in cheek (even if he did make a serious point about Barry playing 13,874 more minutes).

Either way it’s still a mealy-mouthed effort to mark what is a significant achievement by a superb professional.
