That half season with a little, fast, technical, passionate, hard working, buzz of the likes of Meireles, Maxi, Suarez, Kuyt with the occasional “something different” Andy Carroll to bounce balls off was amazing football. Playing almost like a 424 the potential was there for something special. Guys like Shaqiri and Aubameyang were available at the time and should have been added not the likes of Downing (who cost as much as both). Midfield base of 2 from Lucas, Gerrard, Henderson, Meireles or Spearing with that awesome moving, fluid, front 4 with Suarez as the free roaming star? Wow would have been awesome.
The current team - or at least the 19/20 team - were obviously better than 08/09 but absolutely 08/09 was my favourite season of watching this club. That second half of the season was electrifying when we just smashed everyone.
Joe Maguire from Accrington Stanley to Tranmere on a free
Liam Coyle has signed for Accrington Stanley after being released by Liverpool.
Don’t know about the ladies, but I can confirm this.
Patrik Berger is the second most handsome person to ever have anything to do with Liverpool Football Club.
Yeah as a teenager coming to terms with my sexuality I had a crush on him.
He was definitely a handsome young lad at Liverpool:star_struck:
I think some of you might be forgetting that Peter Beardsley also used to play for Liverpool.
Who do you think I was referring to when I said Paddy was second?
Ahem…
Sturridge is taking part in the preseason of RCD Mallorca.
I would be so, so, happy if he can manage to play decently for couple of seasons.
Sturridge on Mallorca…
Hope it works well for him.
He should still be player at a very decent level
Perhaps a bit too soon, but I think I might have mentioned in Python there is a setting in an ML model (Random Forest Classifier) relating to how the model learns. One option is “entropy”, the other is “gini”, so in honor of our recently-departed midfielder I tied the string “gini” to an object called wijnaldum and used it in his place. One of those players who left his mark on big games and who we owe a lot of the success in the last 5 years to, even if he could aggravate (including myself) at times. Still, way more positive than negative!
Was that even English???
Nope, it’s Python!
