Former players and managers - general discussion

What I meant was judgment is the correct word for a (usually legal) ruling. Judgement is the correct word for weighing something up.

The BBC are reporting for an English (UK) audience but they regularly use judgement when reporting on a legal ruling when it ought to be judgment.

Judgement can be used though according to the Oxford English Dictionary.

Oh god, oh no, oh how come.

Are we even in the running?

I think it would depend if they have fixed his back or not

Steven Caulker played for GB in the Olympics, and one game for the senior England team in a friendly (he scored). Scotland didnā€™t want him, though Caulker made himself available for them.

Now he will play in AFCON with Sierra Leone. Fair play to the lad. Glad he seems to have overcome his depression and is doing well in Turkey.

In all seriousness though, as much as I wouldnā€™t normally want him here (the way he left, playing style, form, current condition) a 6 month loan with an option to buy at Ā£33m? And completed early in the window ready for all league games? Thereā€™s actually worse business we could have done. Especially if we do no business full stop as expected.

The Turkish economy may implode shortly. Inflation is running at around 30% I thinkā€¦

Very much doubt it.

Should be less than for Nat so >Ā£7 million and I still donā€™t/wouldnā€™t like him.

I saw that same thing reported yesterday. Evidently only has 1 goal and displays a general sense of apathy toward the team.

Be realistic Coutinho is still a fantastic player who made the wrong move at the worst stage of his career. He was still one of our best players when he left, did reasonable at Bayern on loan too didnā€™t he? 11 goals, 9 assists in 38 games that season for a player demotivated and out of form uncertain about his future and think he had injury issues too. Gerrard might have struck an awe inspiring deal if Coutinho can look at this as a fresh start and get his shit together.

Nat, for all the jokes, we will be lucky if a club fancy a solid, no nonsense, hardman CB enough to offer us Ā£15m

Good to see it. Hope he does well in the PL if heā€™s promoted.
