Steven Caulker the English defender who played striker for us is playing for sierra leone

I believe his dad or grandad is from Sierra Leone and decided to represent them recently.

I read he had disciplinary issues. Anyone know if that’s why we barely saw him?

Think he had problems with gambling and drinking but also dealt with depression.

None of our business I guess.

He should still be in contact with Reds’ academy director Alex Inglethorpe, who looks to keep in touch with every youth player to leave the club to provide support and guidance.

Great stuff.

Cross post with the RIP thread. Perhaps this thread isn’t the most suitable one for this, but along with I think Noel White, provided a lot of the important leadership the club needed during its success in the 80’s (and earlier?) that helped the playing side of the club to achieve what it did.

Me too. I was there. Cried all the way home.

I remember John Keith from “100 players who shook the Kop”. I don’t know why, but thought he was gone as well. Must’ve confused him with somebody else. So, glad to see he’s alive!

Here’s another gem from Degsy…I think he meant first trophy with Zenit SP.

What the hell were you doing in the first half in Rome? Sharing jokes with Karius?

That would’ve been my question.

If I was Kostas Tsimikas I’d be more worried than Dejans wife!

Lovren playing his own tactics. .

Would explain why we conceded 4.

One thing you can do, which is pretty neat, is quote reply as normal but then post it in a different thread…

Serious question
If we are all ‘Plackies’… what exactly does that mean…?
Never ever heard that word before… Anyone know?

I’d speculate it’s slang term for plastics.

As in a plackie bag = plastic bag.
