Former players and managers - general discussion

It’s weird that players pay attention to social media. Surely they know it’s a cesspit and most of those people aren’t real fans.
They should come on here for real informed opinions.

These lads are of an age where they grew up on SM. It was part of their life way before being famous was and so it’s not quite so simple to suggest they should just bin it off.

No, but the clubs have all kinds of dieticians and psychologists etc who control the players’ nutrition and mental wellbeing, surely there is support to help them deal with this kind of thing.

Really? Plenty of people on here used to slag Gini off.

But could he have left if he had known he was tearing apart the Gini, Mina, Mane and Mo’ tetrad?

Tongue in cheek

Paris St-Germain’s Netherlands midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum has been offered to Roma and AC Milan, who are considering a loan move with the option to buy the 31-year-old permanently. (Calciomercato - in Italian)

I was going say is he off to the WWE?

I didn’t recognise him until you said that!

Two things, firstly how sensitive is the one bloke on the video to light? He’s got a hat and shades on indoors.:wink: Secondly, my lad was in the bar at the same time as the LFC squad that night. He bought Stevie G a drink and then his mate had to restrain Jerzy Dudek who was being a dick. Jerzy took a swing at him and only other Reds players stepping in stopped it from escalating. Bellamy’s version of the story is much the same as JAR’s except that he finishes off by saying that he woke up contrite and ready for Rafa’s wrath. But Rafa was otherwise engaged bailing Dudek out of jail.

Can’t find where to put this but Rhys not off to a great start at Blackpool. Turns out him and his old man are Preston season ticket holders so it’s a controversial move to Blackpool and now fake tweets being sent out. Usually this is ignored but has picked up steam in which Rhys is replying.

Looking at the replies it looks far more like the guy running that Twitter account has been called out by other Blackpool fans for sharing false information.

He said it was good info from a guy who wouldn’t lie but if Rhys denies it then fair enough… Rhys denies it and he fails to apologize, accuses him of responding too early in the morning for a professional football (whatever that means) and says it’s clear the club have directed him to respond. All seems a bit pathetic from a fan of Blackpool who has clearly jumped the gun just to criticised a young player who it’s well known grew up a Preston fan.

Especially pathetic when the guy behind the account is not a young man. Anyway he’s been pretty well embarrassed and since Rhys has denied it then most reasonable people will require a bit more proof than two unsourced text messages.
