I have been given a new work computer and Im having problem with my timezone settings in MS Teams. My timezone settings are correct on my machine, and they are correct in my online MS account. Yet when I go into my teams calendar it lists me in the wrong timezone, which is causing problems for peole trying to schedule meetings with me.
Everything I have found online for how to address it has failed. Any ideas?
Sounds to me almost like it might be a server-side issue for some reason… Is there any logic to it, e.g. is that timezone you’re listed in the same as other people in your team/company?
What are your experiences with Deezer, folks, anyone here use it? My Tidal subscription (included with my ISP subscription) ends in a few days and I have an option to activate Deezer that is included in the subscription of my mobile provider.
I don’t have much against Tidal, on the contrary, though it took them three years to take care of their Android TV app and they don’t have all the albums or even artists that I like. Everything else was fine, though.
Over the years I have had to call on the services of onshore IT support for several computer based issues.
99% of the time they gave me goundbreaking advice, which I’m prepared to share with you.
Yeah, not really a fan of Spotify but I can’t say that streaming services are doing a service to bands that I like. Still, they might be the worst of the bunch.
I get that, but I feel like it’s more that the people who are likely to use the Music thread are more likely to have better knowledge about streaming services than the general IT thread.
I’ve learnt to never argue with audiophiles about music and how they interpret it.
Ive had my musician friend pressurizing me to using Bandcamp.
I did do that to purchase albums to show my support. But as of now , unless it’s an album which I really like and the band are those entry level bands which I have a personal investment in their growth , I do tend to stick to Spotify.
Bandcamp does have their streaming platform too but
Not a fan of the streaming platforms , but once you get to the acceptance that they are necessarily evils. Really doesn’t matter which platform you do decide to use.
I for one think that the greater exposure of the bands in the more popular platforms offers them more leeway(if that’s the right word) when it comes to booking gigs etc.
But seriously. I think vpn plans get cheaper if you play per month upfront for a longer plan. I’ve used expressVPN before and it was alright.
Use ProtonVPN now (in their free mode) Couple of connection glitches here and there , might need to try a couple of times to get the correct region too but that’s okay. I’ve streamed region specific Netflix from there and it’s fine.
