Macht Deutschland wieder dumm?

Apologies in advance if I got that wrong…

Makes more sense than the AfD.

Fortunately, Der Postillon is a satirical magazine.

Hmm. AFD posters always have a tendency to remind me of posters from another era.

Yes, yes. I noticed now and changed it. Didn’t see what you wrote, but probably something about the letters being exchanged and my usual awful typing.

yep, but the article posted above is from a satire account but this one is unfortunately real

The “Abschiebe/deportation ticket” was thrown into the mailbox of families with foreign-sounding names in Karlsruhe (citizens with a migration background received this “election campaign flyer”)

No official time /date set for a second vote yet

I haven’t gathered whether the missing votes are from his own party or from the SPD.

Either way it’s a monumental fuck up.

No one knows for sure, it was a secret ballot.
Could be a warning shot for Merz, could be from either party. :man_shrugging:

No one knows, the vote was conducted by secret ballot.

Yeah, but if you’re making a point, you have to let him know what point you’re making.

There will be no new vote today, perhaps tomorrow. A possible reason for the poor result could be to teach Merz a lesson, but there is also speculation that there are attempts within the CDU to depose Merz. Unfortunately, this is a celebration for the AfD. They are already calling for new elections.

Edit

Latest news, if all parties agree they could even vote again today. Confusing

We’ll see what happens in the second round of voting. If that works out, it was probably just a minor annoyance.

Let’s hope so. The last thing we need is more instability.

Not necessarily. Could be a warning shot of parliamentary power, ‘if you think you can simply steamroll us, then think again.’
I don’t agree with it, I don’t think this is the time and the place, but it shouldn’t it be a surprise that it’s Merz that is the first one that’s happened to. A career of burning bridges takes its toll.

Geez, what on earth is happening with this country? :hear_no_evil_monkey:

Having lived there in the past, it’s very sad for me to see them plunge into instability like that…

Calm down. At least so far this isn’t a reason to panic.

I’m not panicking. I’m just looking at a trend which has begun since sometime, and is accelerating, that is all.
