Get lost and find yourself! The Travel Thread

I spent only a day on the west coast, because I was in Costa Rica for a work event and had limited time, so it was a flip of a coin which coast I would spend time in.

The sunset was very nice, felt like some Windows XP background image.^^
(I was less enthusiastic about the crocodiles under a bridge, I have absolutely zero death wish)

To be perfectly honest.. I haven’t visited Bohinj (Boheen) yet. I know it’s lovely in the summer, not too hot, fresh air and brilliant for activities..

This link will be helpful I hope.

Since you’ll be in Bohinj, lake Bled is around 20 miles away. Lovely as well, bigger, more commercialized, fine dining, a whole lot of stuff to enjoy your day(s).

Great pics folks, thank you. I didn’t realize Slovenia was so stunning.

Nice to see Semmy’s lad flying the flag with the green kit too!

It’s a pocket country where you can be on a beach and 2 hours later on 2000m mountains. Or rafting on a river. Or camping at lake sides. Or enjoying a fuck tonne of wines with very different flavors (depending on province). All this is doable in a single day. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Some cities still looks like relics from socialism, slowly improving. Meanwhile nature is really nice.

Some pics (I hope it’s okay, mods?)

Piran (Peeran :upside_down_face:)

Logar Valley

Mountain huts

Vineyards Brda

Vineyard Cottages (interesting as people here won’t let you go until you’re shitfaced :joy:)

And on and on…

I hope you’re not going to the beerorgy MH. Hope you can get up to the alps - Garmisch and beyond is all great.

Week before Oktoberfest.

Thats why it’s cheaper, doubt my heart would take hikes but will be taking trips out.

You can take a train up the Zugspitze, no need for any real walking.

I’m on Norfolk Island.

2 hours NE from Sydney in the Pacific. Aussie owned. Great place with big history from Cook, Bounty and a Pommy penal colony in the 1800’s.

About 15,000 ks from Anfield. Can I be anywhere further?

First stop from the airport was the bottle shop for beer and Gin.

I’m not joking - Liverpool Gin was on the shelf.

Thank you I will have that.
