With Ali with his wife in Brazil, I expect heβll play the Community Shield and perhaps could be in line to start v Bournemouth? While all the talk about βtoo much changeβ is really focused on our forwards and needjng time to gel, I actually think itβs our backline that looks least prepared this preseason.

They were raving about that save, but it felt like one that Alisson would make look easy rather than taking a spectacular dive.

Donβt think Ali needs much in order to be back in goal. Pretty sure he starts the league season.
Not sure if he will start at Bournemouth but I do think he is our number 1 and would be back for Newcastle.
I feel Georgi deputised well though.

He had a swagger of someone confident, who knew what he was doing. Sometimes, you watch a back-up goalkeeper, and they donβt look as confident, they donβt appear imposing, but this guy does. I think itβs one those unique situations where he knows heβll be No.1 with us eventually, and he just has to show what got him the move in the first place. No thoughts about retiring, or trying to show the manager what heβs got, but an assuredness that means he can play without additional pressure.
