never heard of him or seen him play,

i did see this on FB, where he’s up against Lukuka

he’s a big lad for an 18 year old (unless this is photoshopped in some way)

looking forward to seeing what he do!

Also we should be… the guys 33 isn’t he. Even 2-3 years of VVD would still leave Leoni at 21.

Does he win many headers?

Saw a bit of that video. Lukaku might not be the player he was before , but he’s still difficult for defenders to defend against with his physical abilities. He did seem to handle him well.

Slightly concerned at the referees giving fouls against him because the PL. Some of his tackles in those compilations would count as fouls in PL.

Stats for defenders are very hard to analyse due to different teams defensive and possession styles and also their standing in their leagues, this is especially so with very few games that Leoni has had.

Probably more of an eye test assessment that are backed up by the stats, but there are very few 18 year olds, especially CB’s that get the amount of minutes in the top leagues if they aren’t good.

I think Quansah’s a limited defender. Even in Klopp’s last season, He was making those risky passes which he should have grown out of during Slot’s first season. He might improve on those aspects with regular playing time at Leverkusen but there’s a distinct probability that he will never be good enough to play for a top PL side.

Most of us as a fanbase do want Quansah to succeed. And we do tend to ignore the flaws in his game as a result.

The club evidently rate Leoni as someone who’s better. One question i have is , will be counted as homegrown if he finishes 4 seasons in the English League by the time he turns 22 ?

Yes, but he only needs 3 seasons. It’s already mentioned above somewhere. He will be homegrown with 21.

Dunno how good he is at football but looking at him I bet he’ll fit right in wheelieing through a crowded town centre with the the rest of the tracksuit clad youths.

Yes he does! Very good for a lad his age, with room to improve further.

He will be helping Guehi out with how to do it

I said it wasn’t a critique of LFC/Edwards or the player. I’m sure he’s great and this is smart business.
It’s a critique of how insane the whole football business and the money involved is. Not exactly news, but it keeps getting more insane, every once in a while I need to pinch myself.

But has this been confirmed by IndyKaila?

I doubt his hair is naturally blue.

I doubt we were seriously after Hato… we had half a summer to get him in at a decent price or to hijack a deal once others were interested.

Yoro was just stupid money.

So this is the Quansah replacement?

Or, is it Phillips. Time will tell…

Glad to see that body come in the door. Wasn’t a fan of that academy kid falling all over himself in the Bilbao friendly. Got himself all twisted up.
