To be fair I was expecting a lot more hassle with this transfer than the Guehi one but it is the other way round now Palace are digging their heels in and want £40M.

Good news. We are acting decisively in an area where we are short. In some ways the price seems steep, but then again, perhaps before too long he will be worth double or more. I’ve only seen YouTube clips but I really liked what I saw - big, strong, good in the air, good on the ball, decent turn of pace.
There’s a heck of a lot to like, and if he comes in and learns from the best in the business, it will help him fulfil his potential. We are not there yet, but this is looking like long term planning for the inevitable changing of the guard. For all we know Quansah grows leaps and bounds playing week in week out the next two years, and maybe the central pairing is Quansah and Leoni?
So many permutations, but I’m glad we’ve snapped this lad up.
Hopefully Guehi will sign soon too. He is ready to play right now, and we need another defender for right now!
