you reckon Klopp would just give him ‘the look’ then?
possibly 10 bloody charaters
I don’t think Klopp will have ever told someone to sort out their hair. In many situations with many people Klopp would be the one being told to go get a short back and sides.
For the record I’ve liked every look Elliott has had. He’s young and cool and he pulls them off. Only jealous old farts who would look ridiculous with those haircuts showing jealousy complain about good looking, cool, famous, super fit/healthy athletes being imaginative with their looks and hair styles.
…except Konchesky. That mother fucker looked like he was cosplaying Uncle Fester!
What has he done with the marmot he used to carry on his head?
Hahahaha I knew you wouldn’t be able to resist.
Topknot cool? Only if you’re a samurai. Nothing to do with jealousy. Anyway at least a Topknot is not a correct culturally racial hairstyle for him, unless he’s Japanese of course.
What? A topknot is just long hair tied up. Are you trying to say this is something that has never been done throughout European history?
FYI it’s a ‘chonmage’. Not many samurai around these days, but a chonmage is ‘de rigueur’ for sumo wrestlers - Japanese or otherwise. When they retire from sumo, they have it ceremoniously cut off. Maybe Harvey’s keeping it as back-up as he’s still got enough up top to put up a Bale-esque topknot if the urge takes him.
According to wikipedia:
in Asia:
- Chonmage, a traditional Japanese haircut worn by men
- Sangtu, a knot of hair that married men of the Joseon Dynasty wore in Korea
- Touji (頭髻), a traditional Chinese hairstyle which involves tying all hair into a bun, worn from earliest times up to the end of the Ming Dynasty and still worn by Taoist priests and practitioners
- Sikha, worn by orthodox Hindus priest, who involves in ritual practices in temples.
- Khokhol, oseledets traditional Ukrainian haircut
- Tikitiki, a top-knot worn by high-ranking Māori men
- Sidelock of youth worn by pharaonic children in Middle-Kingdom Egypt, indicating association with the child Horus
- Man bun, a modern Western style of topknot influenced by the Asian style, a trend beginning in the 2010s
Cells, vikings, Picts, Vandals, Goths… no peoples, even war like that traditionally wore their hair long, ever just casually tied it up/back that way? That’s what you’re saying? Because one set of people famously did it s very specific way formally no other sets of people ever did it casually? I mean for a start western women of the 1800s used to do it in a few specified hair styles but men can’t possibly be copying the looks women have. It has to be a case of cultural appropriation so points can be scored in an Internet discussion.
I really hope he reads this
@Zoran with lightly fast news sharing!
Just watching his interview - he really seems to have grown up the last year - sound head on his shoulders.
The fact he’s a Liverpool fan (as well has his family) is a huge bonus for us - he’ll be giving it his all!
I wonder if there was a haircut-related clause in that contract… Still, this is great news, I’m looking forward to seeing what he can do in a Liverpool shirt.
Got a feeling he will smash it pre-season and step up to the 1st team squad for next season.
We should clone him. Have one with long hair and one with short back and sides; see if his haircut makes any bloody difference.
Spoiler alert: it doesn’t.
Ok, that clears up everything. He couldn’t afford to get a haircut until yesterday.
Just a bit of a joke. Forget it. You’re like a dog with a bone. And may I say a bit of a cry baby. Not everything has to be hammered to death. And maybe write to wiki or better still update the page.
Great news, hopefully we will see him getting a chance this season to show how he can contribute to the team, like how Curtis has.
Why is he wearing a Roma shirt?
