Harvey is reportedly off to Valencia on loan, according to multiple sources.
Makes sense for him, but I worry about how few local/British/Irish/homegrown players we have left…
Why a loan? He’s on his final year contract. We are not getting anything, again.
Says it all really that we are more worried about losing a home grown player than what he adds on the pitch.
Lost his way and I think there is no real spot in the team for him. Doesn´t offer anything wide right and the only role I could see is covering the 10 position, which we don´t need that much.
Hope he sorts his career out, but likely not here.

I don’t like that he’s being loaned again, but we are well stacked on the attacking player side if things, and he needs to play. Lets hope he does at Valencia, after the shit loan to Villa.
Almost all his wage off the bill. Wouldnt have played so it´s better than nothing.
Fine.
That £2m we’re saving will come in nice and handy, could even go towards that 18 year old keeper we’re signing for £30m.
Really sad he’s going, but knew the writing was on the wall for him when he turned up to pre-season clearly unfit.
Still a good player in there, but his lack of pace, physicality and height meant it was always going to be hard for him in the Premier League. I think he needs someone willing to build their team around him.
Yeah he played well in the U21s tournament when he was one of the oldest players so wasn’t at a disadvantage physically but never seemed to be suited for the physicality of the current era in the PL.
Hopefully things go well in Spain

All the best Harvey
Interesting to hear him say he was a number 10. Used to debate with people on the official forum that he was a 10 and they said we should play him on the right (as we did) or even as an 8. He never had the pace for it.
I don´t think he ever really got much chance in his best position.
Fair play to him for making the move abroad and I hope he does well.
You know I have a story about that Im not sure Ive told anyone about.
Will that be Valencia? I only hope that this isn’t a further lost year for him, and that he’ll be able to play in this team. Fingers crossed.
He was always going to be unfit after the shit-show of last season, although I’m quite sure that the infamous video which appeared a few weeks ago was AI-generated, in order to have a laugh at him, or to harm him.
But I agree that a small frame like the one he has requires a high dosis of physicality and explosivity, especially in the PL. Maybe La Liga will suit him better. I’m sad too to see him go, and wish him nothing but the best in Valencia.
Good luck Harvey, hope find your mojo and your fitness again,
I actually believe the opposite, he probably did too much gym work in last years. You saw how he really tried to follow Salah with his regime and focusing a lot on finishing in training. I’m not saying he’s fat or overweight, but it seems to be like he actually needs to lose some and revive some of his natural strengths as a between the lines type of player.
Wishing Harvey nothing but the best at Valencia. Hopefully he can rediscover some of the form which has been sapped out of him over the last couple years.
Cmon Harvey…show em how to play…and comeback fit n firing next season…
