Just think, most other windows this would be our marquee signing and we’d be lucky to get one or two more. This summer another £70m on a new number 9 almost seems routine.
Excited to have him here and fingers crossed he hits the ground running.
Now for some outgoings before John Henry has a heart attack and then a CB.

I think most of our outgoings happen at the end of the window as other clubs either try to get a more favourable price or chase players from other clubs, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see us make more signings before we sell

We have wiggle room if I saw the same list you did. Calvin Ramsey was on there and he’s obviously not going to be in the final squad. As you mentioned, it was pre-Jota too and we’re surely going to sell/loan one of the left backs and Nunez out before the season starts. We might even have room for a non-homegrown CB too if memory serves but that would be about our limit.

Taking a look at our squad counting only players that will actually play (so no Calvin Ramsey), with Ekitike joining, we will be one over the amount of non homegrown players. That is still counting Darwin and our three left backs though. So we potentially have one more non howngrown spot in the squad if we move Darwin and one left back on.
