there still celebrating us not winning the EPL again! ![]()
Just had a quick look on WSAG to see what lunacy is being spouted these days. Mostly fume about how many of our ex-players are acting as pundits even though they were shite, Pickford England’s greatest ever goalkeeper, snide shite about Jota etc…
There was a thread on James Rodriguez, needless to say if he was 10 years younger he’d be the best player on the planet, but the stand-out remark was how he’d go down in folklore for that through ball at Anfield. That’s right, a through ball in a meaningless match, in an empty stadium, against a side ravaged by injuries.
Maybe that’s what they were celebrating in the Carnarvon?
I always have a pint of Directors when I go in there.
I can’t even remember the Rodriguez through ball.
No I don’t eithier.
I remember the game being a draw at Goodison but the home game just fell into that run of games where I truly lost interest looking back and for all the moaning about VAR and everything else that season of no crowds is seriously some depressing watching isn’t it?
I think the WBA game where Alisson scored that goal was probably the first time when I watched a game since about mid Feb.
It’s a bit hit and miss tbh, and I tend to go to Wethies more these days and pay half as much for a decent cask ale although they can be a bit iffy too.
Last time I was in the Carnarvon the barmaids had me and my mate go down the cellar and drag some bins up the steps for them, got a free pint for it!
You must be reasonably young then. Most of the customers wouldn’t be able to make it back up from the cellar, without a stairlift.
62 soon mate, but some of those cats in there must have been around when the Titanic set sail.
I think one or two survived the Titanic sinking.
He looks like my Brother. Not the tattoo. ![]()

Once Everton touches you…
you change your gender and name? ![]()
You can take the manager out of Everton but you can’t take the Everton out of the Manager (sorry Rafa).
He could be the exception, being touched more heavily by LFC.
The Positivity overwhelmes the Negativity.
He’s had an odd career since leaving us… talk of Scotland next
