They sort of have a history with short players: Alan Ball, Adrian Heath etc.
There was meant to be one in the 1950s who was only 5 feet tall.

I had to look it up: Bobby Collins, 5’3". So not quite, but pretty short.
A midfielder with 42 goals from 133 games for Everton, and 10 from 31 for Scotland. Sounds a pretty handy player for his height. I’m assuming not too many headers in there.
Edit: he also captained Leeds when we beat them to win the FA Cup for the first time.

I’ve no doubt their fans will blame LFC for the debacle on deadline day. They blame us for everything else that happens to them.

It sounds like, having stabilised the club, they don’t want to make the investment to be challenging for Europe. They are unclear whether they are looking for an “investment to buy” like FSG or an outright sale.

Anything LFC does, Everton want to follow.
It’s more likely that Friedkin have realized that this is a sunk investment and are looking for a way out.
