I’ll have a bitter please...It’s the Everton thread

I’d have the seats facing the wrong way.

I’d also have one stand behind the goal called “The Bitter End”

Why only one stand. Name all stands except the stand where the away supporters are seated the bitter end.

But fuck no, If i had that type of money, I’d buy the new stadium , build it and then gift it to Liverpool U23’s , Liverpool Women Team for their use. Everton can then move out of Liverpool city

Only because behind the goal can be considered an “end” in the physical sense. Perhaps some play on words for the other stands that lead towards that end maybe? Like some kind of pilgrimage for them. Nothing springs to mind at the mo. But feel free to fill your boots.

Maybe the end which faces the docks and the sea can be called as the deep end.

Everton fans in the deep end sinking in despair as their team goes 3-0 down at halftime in the championship.

Sounds good. A nice steep slope from one end to the other as well. Works for me.

More losses to come, now that the flow of dodgy Russian money, has been turned off.

BBasically saying that Everton cooked the books to argue that they were complaint using the covid clause. If they stay up on this technicality, any team which goes down will kick up a major fuss.

Imagine putting more than £500m into owning and propping up that club in the last 5 years and ending up with a team in a relegation battle, a ramshackled squad full of very expensive dead wood you can’t flog, a string of failed managers you’ve had to pay off and a new stadium that will likely hugely go over budget as costs of raw materials soar.

Add in a player who’s been suspended all season with some pretty serious allegations made against him. A pretty green manager who clearly thinks he’s better than he is. And, what will probably be some pretty tight budget constraints when it comes to transfers unless they sell one of the few decent players they have.

No wonder the blues have the blues.

No need to imagine it. It’s being played out in it’s full glory for us all to watch. :nerd_face:

The new stadium is still in the Mersey isn’t it? It’s got a shelf life of about 25-40 years

Won’t that soak the fans? If you think they’re bitter now…

Stadium “drone” isn’t that the crowd most weeks, I’m surprised this is actually being built

I can’t help thinking that it’s a huge, ill-considered mistake. I fucking hope so anyway :smiley::+1:
