I’ll have a bitter please...It’s the Everton thread

Yup, that video is quite the eye opener. Certain players do have release clauses, but not all.

There was a stat on the US feed I was watching (where the commentator and Le Saux called Matip Martin all game) that since 2015 they’ve bought something mad like 24 players for $25m or more whilst we’d only done 17 or 18 in that time. You wonder how many of those, who’d have been sold the dream of CL football, will have relegation clauses in them. It’s not exactly showing confidence in the project.

Every chance, Championship don’t bend over backwards on this so it’s probably only the parachute payments and I’m not sure that will cover it.

I think they might be ok if they can come back up straight away, when Bournemouth and Fulham went up once they needed to go up or they would have got points deduction.

Liverpool have 79 points since the start of this season.

Everton have 79 since the fourth game of last season.

See my post in the Everton post match thread for my updated thinking on relegation for the ev.

I really, really hope they go down. I loathe agricultural Burnley, them breaking Gomez’ leg, Dyche bragging about the tactical masterclass of him putting one of his brutes on 18-year old Trent and “targetting him”, their gloomy stadium and Stoke-like impressions - but these shower of thugs deserve everything that’s coming their way.

I still think Burnley will go down but I still hope it will be Everton, so they can time waste their way to Championship play-offs next season and Richarlison can roll away to Atletico Madrid or whichever WUM of a club will have him. Utterly classless and sometimes vile, as Van Dijk and Alcantara will testify.

Richarlison and Atletico Madrid is a match made in hell

I’m not sure he’s good enough.

I’m genuinely suprised that their fans aren’t up in arms after watching that. Lampard’s masterful gameplan was to sit deep, to disrupt and slow down the game as much as possible and to roll around on the ground in an effort to get an opponent sent off or a penalty. No attempt to play actual football. Allan completed 2 passes in 73 minutes.

There hasn’t been a more pathetic, wretched and despicable display at Anfield in recent memory. Lower league teams have played with far more dignity and self-respect than these cunts. They utterly embarrassed themselves. The sooner they get relegated, the better; both for them and for us.

With this display , they deserve to be in the championship.

Dyche is going to be Everton manager in the next 20 months. Anyone disagree?

Is there a double relegation?
Straight to League One.
They don’t deserve to be even in the Championship.

No problem with a manager having a negative go slow bus parking tactic. Clearly he tried to copy the so called special one. When it all goes pear shaped you then deflect post match by blaming the ref. But he is an amateur.

How could anyone associated with that club not be embarrassed. Whilst there were plenty of ugly stuff and dark arts, Richarlison takes the cake with staying on the ground and then the kick out.

Will he worry if they get relegated? No he just moves on.

Anyway I think they will stay up somehow. But never have I been so keen for them to go.

Ohhh I have. I’ve seen them escape relegation twice on the final day of the season. I still think they’ll somehow survive this time but I want them down because of their horrible, scum fans.

I was speaking to my Evertonian bother again last night. I asked him in passing when he was last at a game and it was a couple of years ago now. He would occasionally go with one of his workmates and his sons but he had stopped going because of the “bad atmosphere” in the ground and worrying about the kids. So much for the family club idea. It looks like they have been destroyed from the ground up.
