I wouldn’t have thought PGMOL will be happy to have a club questioning decisions in this way. The first time was understandable, but repeating it in this way isnt going to win friends or benefit fit them in any way that I can see.
Quite, they had less chances than us and nothing as close as Jota’s in that first half.
They had some very good chances in the second but they sent them all wide. The closest they got was a class strike that went narrowly over with Becker beaten, ironically the same thing that happened in the first game.
There game plan would have been sunk if Jota had put his in as early as 30 mins, they were pretty open once we scored but we just crowded the box and bar the odd misjudgement it was just shots being blocked and the like, bar the misjudgement I think we defended pretty well at 1-0.
Gordon was dangerous but he could have been even more dangerous if he stayed on his feet. The Robbo one he didn’t need to go down and nethier did he on Keita. The Robbo one is baffling as I’d have been angry if say our lot had done that as I have done in the past as it was a chance to get in.
The “if they play like this” is being trotted out but it’s been said about Watford after us and they were garbage for the next 5-10 games. I wouldn’t even see how this is a template for any of their remaining games bar Chelsea perhaps. In most of them the emphasis will be on Everton.
So the Everton stance is that we decided to make it difficult by diving, feigning injury, and time wasting. Gordon gets rightly booked for diving after diving beforehand i.e. not his first offence. Worth noting that he has reputation for diving as well.
Then under a challenge he goes down again and that’s a stone wall penalty? Your reputation precedes you sunshine. That has bugger all to do with what ground you’re at.
He seems to have a passing resemblance to Harry Kane as well. Divided at birth maybe?
For the record we’ve all seen them given, equally not given so Gordon has basically outdone himself imo.
The challenge on Origi was nothing for me. The two to look at were Decouri on Mario and Richarleson on Henderson. Both cynical. You could argue Trent’s as well I suppose.
Trent took one for the team…but watching it today in slo mo…Trent didnt touch him…Gordon left his leg trailing…again cheating…but I dont think it bothered Trent…Bitters…MOVE ON…
We’ve seen them given, and almost universally the ref who gave it is criticized for getting sold on a dive.
but are any P/L clubs in the market for a wannabe model with the charisma of a cardboard box?
He, TAA did, you’re right. I honestly thought he clipped his rear leg a little. A bit thick to be diving in that scenario if he wasn’t touched to be honest. Had he gone clear, he’d have been in a really good position to create something.
Yep…said a few messages ago…thick as pig poo…if he had a brain he would be dangerous…
Will they survive in the championship
I think we’ll see more simulation from Everton players, in the remaining few games. They’ve piled the pressure on referees, with their whining after yesterday and how hard done to they are. They’ve even got most of the dickhead pundits and media on their side now, who don’t want appear to be going against the Lampard mantra. The next time Gordon or Richarlison go down in the penalty area, my bet is it will be a penalty. The referee will not dare disallow it.
I don’t get the Lampard wankfest. Any decent manager would have realised that 2022 Liverpool is not 2014 Liverpool, while 2022 Everton is not 2014 Chelsea, let alone that Frank Lampard is not José Mourinho.
Absolutely no imagination, talent, nor intelligence.
They have Chelsea next, probably be 3-0 down anyhow.
It’s more their attitude to us than bias towards Everton, most none bias fans will probably think they are just moaning gits and will have about seven examples of injustice themselves.
So he can do exams.
I think it depends which Chelsea team turns up on the night. They’ve been inconsistent lately, to say the least.
That’s not clear at all from every single bit of his public-facing persona.
I know the comment was made tongue in cheek. But they honestly could easily follow Portsmouth, Bolton or Sunderland if they don’t sort out their shit.
From top to bottom that club is toxic and needs change.
- Loyal fans who turn up every week to shout your shit.
- A group of individuals with no teamwork, loyalty and overinflated egos.
- Terrible manager and even worse assistant. Living off memories as former players.
- Scouts who are the unsung hero’s. My 5 year old could have chosen better players for money paid.
- Owners/directors who like their players have overinflated self worth and ability.
Things could easily go from bad to worse without real leadership. At the moment I can’t see where that is coming from .
What exactly has happened to DvB? He hasnt even been on the bench in recent weeks.
Dropped for not diving properly in training.
