I’ll have a bitter please...It’s the Everton thread

But these things are always in the future. They won’t do it retrospectively

Nothing says that the deduction can’t be for a season that has just completed. Remember , Juve got stripped off of titles retrospectively for their match-fixing.

Just won’t happen, it’s not happened in any of the Championship cases, you could argue those clubs that went down last season shouldn’t have while Derby stayed up

Everton don’t have any titles, to strip them of. Although, they could take the cuckoo clock off them, I suppose.

and Juve got relegated as well too.

But even a points deduction for next season or a transfer ban will still be massively unfair to Leeds / Burnley. It will still get them into financial trouble. I suspect that either of them would be looking at some compensation as a result of Everton staying up.

Its the bitters they will not be punished.

Not so sure, I think they’ll be devastated, if the cuckoo clock is taken off them.

They still have the mighty bolt cutter.

They should stick the cable tie and a photo of that bloke in there.

He kept them up

Did they have to use the bolt cutters because Joe Royle has lost the keys?

Possibly but they resurfaced this season. It was a highlight of their season. It stopped the game and all Everton fans rejoiced at having 5 minutes break from the disgrace they were watching.

Imagine if this Leeds / Burnley law suit goes somewhere and they are deducted X points.

Also the FA swept the Richarlison flare throwing incident under the rug didn’t they.

Should have been banned that twat

These cunts are getting away with all sorts last couple of seasons, shame they are staying up.

It is but I don’t think it’s done and dusted yet. I’d be mighty pissed if I were associated with Burnley or Leeds

Not sure why. Their problems have little to do with Everton’s overspending.

Correct but I’m sure they’ll argue that illegal spending has inflated Everton’s position in the league and sanctions should be applied this year. Especially when Everton are claiming a Covid impact that is over 3x higher than other PL clubs of a similar size.

They can argue it, but only the overspending part of that is valid, not the effect it had on Burnley and Leeds. The spending itself has made Everton worse. Everton have gone from being 8th to 16th, not 20th to 16th.

Everton is a joke. This survival will only feed their delusion, like the one United had when they finished second last season, and they will ignore how deep the rot has gone. They will be fighting off relegation again next season. Long may it continue.

That would be one of the most hilarious defences to take in a legal setting that you could take.

You’re right it has made them worse but I’m just looking at what Leeds and Burnley are questioning.

Just deduct them 20 points starting from next season for their financial misconduct.

And 5 this season for their pitch invasion.

That seems to be the fairest outcome one can think of.
