Amazingly, their overall position in the combined MLS table right now…8th
Was fine when they were winning the transfer window…
“I started going to the match with my grandad in the 80s, before getting a season ticket in the 90s when the slide started.
“Apart from the FA Cup when I was 12, I’m 40 in January, that is all I’ve seen and you know for a club the stature of Everton it is not acceptable.”
…
The entitlement
What a great way to spend the end of July.
Tbf, at the time that person started going they were very successful. You will have seen alot of comments of the same ilk from Liverpool fans at various stages in the past three decades.
I know two lads* in my class who swapped over from Man Utd to Everton in 1995 due to that cup win. Shows how big the cup still was probably and also how there had been a fair bit of hope at the time.
I believe it’s the last time they out did us, even in 2005 when they finished ahead of us we went and did one better with the CL
*they weren’t very pleasant so I hope they’ve enjoyed that ever since, I did have a friend who swapped to Blackburn in 1995 and he actually stuck with them. That season was kind of seen as the end of a short dominance of Man Utd, if only.
They’ve been the mighty Blackpool 4-2 so that’s one for the DVD
Bloody hell they might have actually signed someone good.
Boreham Wood, Blackpool…there’s no stopping this juggernaut
I was reading yesterday that they’re trying to offload Dele already.
Why they even sign him. Was quite obvious where he was going in his career. Surely he’s championship material now for sure. Rashford to be joining him soon in the peaked at 20 category
He scored three yesterday
They’d have lost otherwise.
What is gone on there? Sky looked like the limit at one point and then he fell off a cliff. Rashford too I guess.
Players are responsible for their own shit, but the drop off under Mourinho was precipitous and you can understand a player like him, who had so much so soon, falling out love with the game going through that
They’ll owe their first £10m for Alli to Spurs after his first 20 games for them, and he’s played 11 so far. Not hard to put 2 and 2 together there, they’re up the financial shit creek without the proverbial.
Also he’s been utter cack, so there’s that.
Yeah, I read the various clauses that add up to 40 million are all very reasonable to think he’ll achieve. So if after half a season they’ve looked at him and thought it isnt working out they need to get rid otherwise theyre going to end up paying a decent amount of money for a “free transfer” who produces F all.
