I’ll have a bitter please...It’s the Everton thread

I’m not an accountant but even I can see that this is not good.

Probably explains their window.

A perfect example that eventually the money runs out if you don’t have any success. And the crazy thing is they have not stood still in this time, they got worse.

Just read on twitter that they are signing Dwight McNeil too.

Are they trying to buy Burnley so they stay up…

Oh

No way is Mcneil worth 20m…and whatever promise he does have goes to fuck all when he joins everton

The more they try not to get relegated the more it looks like they will. Their transfer business has been interesting to say the least.

Wonder how long fat frank will last this season. Maybe theyll surprise us but i doubt it.

Buying players without thinking has been their main issue. When they first started to spend money they bought 4 or 5 attacking central midfield players for crazy money. They have been ‘recovering’ from that ever since.

I was astounded tht htey employed rafa and then gave him a few peanuts in the market. They have brought int he wrong managers and backed them and then brought in the right ones in ancellotti and rafa and not been able to fund that ambition.

they are lucky they haven’t managed to sneak into europe as FFP would have crucified them.

McNeil isn’t a bad signing to be fair but he has dropped off the last few seasons.

McNeil? Another winger who produces low numbers? Another winger who’s best position is on the left?

I don’t get it really.

It’s Everton, you’re not supposed to get it.

Average player going to an ambitiousless mediocre club.

The signing makes perfect sense if you ask me.

Most of those odds I think are fairly accurate, but not sure how they can think Ten Hag is so safe - shite squad last season with no major incomings, a shite CB as captain that is utterly clueless, key player wanting out and a midfield that likely to again consist of McFred.

I can see them being 8-10th by Oct/Nov and if so, no doubt there will be calls for his head

Everton the team that try to kick, boot, assault their way to a derby victory are now signing players (Tarkowski, McNeil) from the other team that tried to assault us in every game. We’ll be in for a rough ride in thd two derbies this season. Or should I say ‘rougher’ ride?

It’s because they wanted Cornet but would have had to pay his buy out clause up front in one go. McNeil is a lesser player but they can pay in installments.

I’d guess the plan is to move Gray to the right or have McNeil play as an inverted winger that side.

McNeil scored Zero goals and had ONE assist in 38 games.
