They could have still been very much in for the Europa League, if this was a cunning ploy to avoid the European conference league then it wasn’t a very good one.
Makes more sense to lose now than against one of the worst sides I’ve seen play PL football especially since Wilder has gone (and they weren’t much before then).
Maybe considering they care more about us it deflated them.
It was in their hands to actually be up there with us but their last 8 results have been dreadful bar the odd one against WHU last week.
