I’ll have a bitter please...It’s the Everton thread

I tell you what, though, they’re going to have a job on to win the transfer window after this. :joy:

Tbf, winning the transfer window five years running was always going to be a big ask.

Sky are reporting they are beginning talks with Nuno today.

Be interesting to see how Nuno does, wherever he ends up next, without the same access to Mendes and Portugese players or players based in Portugal he enjoyed at Wolves. That’s assuming of course Mendes keeps working with Wolves in the way he has been.

Don’t see the guy as a huge draw for players. Don’t see Everton giving him the time to rebuild properly if results aren’t also meaning they’re challenging for Europe. He’ll also be on the first plane back to Portugal should he get the chance.

Rafa is more likely to wait for Moyes to go to Everton and take the West Ham or Tottingham jobs?

He’s already got a job managing Beckham FC in US.

Is this an attempt at satire?

Not at all. You can take all this at face value (the Liverpool first, Everton second bit).

That being said, I think it’s Karma hitting them. They have been detestable little idiots this season, made us suffer by injuring two of our key players, and laughed at us for it. They didn’t respect the ancient tradition of friendly rivalry, which I 'd wish for to be restored in the future.

So now, it’s their turn to suffer, and that’s fair enough.

Their thuggery isn’t limited only for the opposition. After JP Gbamin worked his way back over several months from a nasty Achilles injury, it was reported that Lucas Digne took him out with an unnecessary hard tackle in training. And the prognosis is he will be out several more months now.

Frankly, they are below City, Chelsea, United, Burnley, and Spurs in my dislike list.

@Neukölln yeah they are a thuggish bunch.

Ronnie Goodlass said Ancellotti leaving is a “bitter” pill to swallow, for Everton fans. Does that mean they’ll be even more “bitter” than they are now??

Can they be any more bitter

Nah! They’re right at the top of mine, way out in front.

Whenever there was a Blueshite fan talking on the radio phone-ins after the game… most of them referred to Ancelotti as the Professor of football…!
Guess they will have to call him the ‘absent minded professor’ now because he forget to get them into the top 6 for a European place… :0))

My son misunderstood a report that a premier league team had contacted Conte and thought it was Everton: it was one of the funniest things he’s ever messaged me.
