I’ll have a bitter please...It’s the Everton thread

Their whole existence is somehow always linked to us. I remember there was a tweet from the club or a bitter fan saying it would be acceptable for them to lose their game if it meant we couldn’t make the top4.
Even though we did make top4, their season had looked very rosy where they drew their first game and injured VVD & Thiago and had the luck of VAR twice where Prickford was not sent off and they didn’t concede the last minute winner. Plus they actually beat us in the second game (dodgy pen in my book). I’m not giving them any benefit of the doubt. The sooner they can relegate the better as the longer they stay in our league, it means they will still have chances to hurt us or injure us. They are very low on my list and I wish them relegation and humiliation.

That would leave them 6th. No chance they’ll ever finish that high

He can use Covid-19 for a gap in his CV.

To be fair he seems to have caught some of their delusion.

Worst thing about that was that the games in question had no real connection

He a use font size 1 for employer:

Everton

and font size 6 for location:

I think that’s how Everton approach their transfers too…

I’ve historically thought of Everton that way. Wanting them to do well, but just not as well as us. But over the years my attitude has changed. Gone are the days when Red and Blue could share a coach or train down to Wembley or even meet up for a pint after the Derby. Their hatred of us (and I do believe that the hatred (for now) is mostly one way) has/is changing the way we think of Everton. Their fanbase come across as being obsessed with us. I’ve said for a few years that they’d sooner see us lose than them win. I really wouldn’t mind seeing them relegated now and give them a dose of reality.

They’ll be bitterer

Yeah; I always wanted them to finish second.

But that all changed on 17th October 2020.

Have to say I’m with you on this, I wasn’t a massive fan but it’s good to have the derbies then they did that.

After that I said fuck em

Agree with many mentioned points.

Always wanted them to do ok. When it was the ‘traditional Top4’ (us, ManU, Chelsea and Arsenal) I was always hoping that Everton would somehow make it ahead of ManU and Chelsea.

It was called ‘friendly derby’ for some time, right?

But over years I’ve learned to hate them:

Moyes accusing Suarez of diving.
Fat Sam in charge.
Duncan Ferguson in charge.
Holgate accusing Bobby of being racist.
Funes Mori foul on Divock
Pickford injuring VvD
Richarlison injuring Thiago

Better to start a new post here now because…

Like I said I’ve learned to hate them but I wish I could hate them even more.

Reason why I can’t is Hillsbourough. Feel like the support they shown over the years and tributes they paid - that’s real.

That’s why I will always have some kind of sympathy for them.

That picture always touches me. Proof that some things are more important than football.

West ham is a poisoned chalice. Moyes did a great job this year for them (credit where its due) but they’ll go back to the toxic filled mediocrity the coming season when the crowds start coming back.

I’d see Moyes jumping ship but not necessarily to Everton. I believe that the ship has sailed in that regard for both of them. Everton in their attempt to be like Liverpool will try to ensure that a coach which prioritizes attacking football is given the job.

Rafa is a long shot but i can see why he would take the everton job. Its a job at his home. Neither would i hold anything against a man who would want to spend time with family after this disastrous couple of years. I hope he doesnt but even if he does take the job , it will be only cause he’s only 3-4 km away from anfield

And the songs they sing about about Hillsborough? Oh yes, very touching.

Ancelotti…
“Every club has different goals. Real Madrid’s goal is to win the Champions League and La Liga. Everton’s goal is to try to get a European spot, and a few years ago it was to stay in the Premier League,” he said.

Yeah… You dont get to be managing Liverpool by managing in liverpool carlo…

There is no ‘they’. There might be idiots singing this abject song, but I’m sure that the vast majority among the Everton fans wouldn’t support that. The fact that the whole city, including the blue half, so effectively boycotted the s*n throughout the years, should be proof enough for that.

And their most important goal is to TRY to ensure that LFC do not succeed; if it means they lose or even get relegated.
I remember them celebrating losing matches that result in hindering LFC not too long ago.
The happy bitter losers!

He’s been paid a million pound a month and got his son a nice retirement fund for doing the bare minimum and making fools out of us all. To take a pay cut to go back to Madrid is even more sickening, like he couldn’t wait to get away from us. Even more annoying was the fact that he complained about the ESL and now he has gone to the very club that was pushing for it to begin for their own interests.

A cynical person would say he was just going along with the tide of opinion because the RS were involved in it to get some of our fan base onside.

I can’t explain how angry I’ve been since it happened, just took the p out of the club and it’s loyal fans. His comments in his first press conference just shows the level of contempt he has for us, knowing that other fans will laugh their heads off at what he’s said about us.

One more gem.
