Ancelotti has no underlying footballing philosophy. That is not to say that he is tactically naïve, but he will put his side out however he thinks is best for the players he has available. His main strength is finding a ways to get good players happy and putting out a side that gets as many of them on the pitch as possible in a way they can thrive. It is an approach that can only go as far as the talent available.
Rafa is the complete opposite and will overlook a talented player if they cannot do a role he feels a side needs. I think it’s fair to say, this is a far better approach if you dont naturally have the players who are naturally talented enough to win the game.

Sorry the more I hear shite like that the more I am convinced that Rafa is a manager of the past. Out if touch with reality and dillusional.
Other than about 5 clubs having complete mares of a season and Everton having a blinding season (which their squad is not capable of) Everton work finish between 7-12th.
