I’ll have a bitter please...It’s the Everton thread

The ironic thing is… Jordan has got his back turned to all those trying to catch his attention

Yes, the debating society at Goodison Park is very popular.

Haha some of them genuinely did think the “balance of power” had shifted after their win at Anfield last season.

This is amazing. :joy:

33 is Salomon Rondon in the first half, a 32-year old target man striker.

33 is still Salomon Rondon, but in the second half, a 32-year old target man striker.

I think it is dawning on some Evertonians that their squad looks an awful lot like relegation material.

Demarai Gray is probably their best player. That does not bode well. They need DCL back as soon as possible or they could be in real trouble.

He isn’t a bad looking guy, considering he is at Everton he might as well do something more worthwhile.

The opening quote on that is quality, I only assume it was Man Utd.

One more club that got too excited over money, new stadium, etc. Did actually nothing special during that time, but just had overblown squads, badly constructed, many changes, lacking direction. They think they should be subscribed to a certain league position. When they’re fit, yeah, they’re better than 10th on the table (and now even lower). But they’re not fit. And when they’re fit, it’s still not a side that would probably make fans totally satisfied. So the pressure is huge and fans have issues from years and years of not enough success, at least some sort of European qualifications and/or domestic cup success.

James Rodriguez summed it up.

A player who last had a good game at a World Cup in 2014.

Also didn’t they win about four transfer windows before Man Utd won last years.

See a pattern emerging?

"I believe the Everton board is revered throughout football… and I know that our board is what other clubs aspire to. In fact, one very famous football club said to me two or three days ago “whenever we have a problem” he said, “what would the Everton board do? As they always get it right.”

Quality speaks for itself"

I’m betting a tenner if that actually happened that it was Ed Woodward

It did happen and it was indeed Kenwright who said it…

Poor Rafa I nearly felt sorry for him sitting there listening to the fans who once adored him singing his name.

I did think towards the end…he looked ill and broken…so sad…

I mean more the fact someone actually said that to him instead of Kenwright dreaming the bollocks up.
