Wonder if we want to get this done along with the other and thus to lessen the look of the fee on Barcola.

We do have a place for a new IbouâŚ
Well some of these are British rather than Scouse. Frimmers? FFS, that sounds like someone who played on the Polo team at public school. Frimbo? Now that is a proper Scousism.
It rather amuses me that British people now get irate about the word âsoccerâ as an americanism because it is entirely a product of the British Public School system (i.e. the exclusive posh schools, not the state ones.)
Soccer was abbreviated from Association Football, in the same way that Rugger was abbreviated from Rugby Football. Soccer was still used by the BBC up until about 1980, at which point they realised that normal people just called it Football.
Too soon?
I just looked it up (answers via an Islamic website asking if it is impolite to abbreviate a profitâs name!)
- Ibby
- Ibra
- Bram (more common in Western contexts as a short form for Abraham/Ibrahim)
- Barhoom or Brhoom (common in Arabic-speaking regions)
- Hema or Imo (common Egyptian/Middle Eastern short forms for Ibrahim)
TBH, Ibby works. Sounds both Scouse and is used by people called that.
Has anyone reliable from UK reported this?
Not sure, but when it comes to transfer targets from abroad, it seems like UK journalists can often be the last ones to know. Not much spicy intel coming from Lfc, until itâs basically a done deal.
So, doesnât this lad have some sort of toxic entourage, or was that Limie I was thinking of?
Jacobs seemed to allude to it happening in a comment and that Spurs journalist the same in the discussion about Gakpo.
The fact we havenât had a Pearce âLiverpool have no interest in Mbayeâ would suggest itâs got legs.
Im getting it from all sides today. And Flobs rounds it off by just sitting there ignoring my Croissant related questions.
I still have doubts about whether weâll actually sign him, especially since F.R. has explicitly stated several times that both Mbaye and the overall package involving Barcola are definitely too expensive for us. In our view, Paris is simply asking too much for an 18-year-old. So, the fact that weâve reached an agreement with the player doesnât help much if Paris doesnât budge. Letâs see how things develop.
Th English Fabrice Hawkins did a while ago, but i dont see why reliable French journalists reporting on transfers related to a French team wouldnt pass muster
He looks promising but I´m not THAT bothered if we sign him or not. We already have one or two young and likely inconsistent wingers to develop.
What we are lacking is somebody ready to deliver big week in, week out and be the main main. Not his fault of course as he´s young, and he could be a great pickup for the future, but it´s hard to get excited in terms of what I expect his short term impact would be.
If there are no senior wingers available then fine, but I´d obviously prefer a top wide player now and to put the Mbaye cash towards a midfielder.
